Mariner Cruisers - A brief History:
Bill Barry-Cotter setup Mariner in the 1960's.
In 1978, with expansion plans in mind, he agreed to sell Mariner to a multinational firm and two years later (1980) moved to the Gold Coast where he established luxury motor yacht business, Riviera.

10 years after selling, Mariner was put into liquidation and he bought it back.
Eventually he moved Mariner from Sydney to Riviera’s south-east Queensland site.

Ultimately, the Mariner disappeared into Riviera brand.

Years later, Bill sold Riviera and started the high end, luxury motor yacht company Maritimo.
